-Matt Ludwig, P.E., Shares Insight On The Construction Industry-

Matthew A. Ludwig, P.E, Director of Federal Services, Matrix New World Engineering (Matrix), was a recent guest on Commercial Construction Coffee Talk where he offered his insights on the future of the construction industry.

In a wide-ranging conversation with Host, David Corson, Ludwig discussed the impact a three-year shutdown and reopening had on the construction industry. He stated, “For me, it took about six weeks and then we were back to work…it was important that we were still repairing roads and building buildings.  The construction industry really stepped up and did their part to keep pushing the industry forward.” Ludwig continued, “On a manufacturing basis, that’s where it seemed to really impact us. I didn’t see the labor shortage as much as I did see projects that were originally eight weeks long and now were taking sixteen weeks… and yet the construction industry kept on pushing through…”
